ASK.COM Update

Google still leads the way in search, or does it? Its seems lately that other search engines are trying their level best to be innovative in their developments.  Ask.com has had a major rebuild and promises to deliver faster results to certain queries.  Data will be pulled from a variety of  different online sources including question and answer sites like WikiAnswers.

The update is noteable if only by what this search engine is prepared to index. The engine is prepared to focus on content coming from individuals rather than professional publishers and personally I think this move has been coming for some time across the board too.

Error Code C0FE1701

With the error code C0FE1701 or C0FE1800 just wait a few hours more before trying

AOL is having a temporary outage at the moment where users can’t login and are getting a c0fe1701 error code, but we are seeing a massive amount of bounce backs from them at the moment as well, C’mon Aol you are causing massive loops backs on the mail servers, and if you add the fact that Griffin had massive issues yesterday dropping 16,000 users grrrrrr, I will be glad when this week is over !

Bronco Expansion and Website Makeover

Growing competition and so many choices for search marketing, web design, and ISP services mean you need to stand out from the crowd if you offer these services.

The aim is to both attract and sustain business therefore sending a strong message, reinforcing your presence within the marketplace is essential.

The present economic climate dictates a level of due diligence within every business model and often forces you to make some very difficult business decisions sooner rather than later. Diversification and flexibility are the name of the game, in our case focus on extracting value from innovation.
Bronco, has seen great growth in recent months with new members of staff coming onboard. Dan Mcskelly for one in the SEO team joined at the start of September and you may have seen some of his posts on this blog.

Some of Bronco’s most satisfying projects to date are where we are involved in the total web design and development of a site, which leads onto successful SEO, so really it only seemed fair that the Bronco website itself should get the same treatment and thanks to another member of the Bronco Team, Kean, the transformation has taken place. Personally, I think the key to the success of the business is the level of teamwork that goes on and the interactivity between members of staff.

Empire Direct Customer Services You Suck

Empire Direct list themselves as “electrically unbeatable”, this is maybe true if you actually manage to get the item delivered. We went with Empire Direct because a few other guys in the Bronco office had said just how efficient they were. Mistake.

My wife ordered a washer/dryer on the 6th September at just over £500  because we don’t have enough space to fit a separate washer and dryer in the kitchen.

Fine I thought, the order was taken on the telephone to be delivered on the Wednesday. No show..hmmm well I’ll call them then: ” Our sincere apologies, there was a problem with our database we tried to deliver it to a previous customer, they then proceeded to give me all his details (data protection?)  we will change the records and deliver it on Saturday” Cool, no problem then. Yes same story Saturday came and no delivery.  I called them again, in amongst all this they had my work number and home number to call.

The response was the same again ” Sorry we had the wrong address”,  I still haven’t had  a reply to the email I sent a week ago and they haven’t once called us as at either work or home to help.

So, Empire Direct don’t respond to customer emails and don’t call their customers either.  They don’t issue receipts  unless you call them 3 times.

I have just called them again this morning, guess what, they  still have the wrong delivery address and the compensation of free delivery offered — well delivery was free anyway as it was over £500.00, and the delivery address on the receipt, you guessed it, it’s wrong!   ffs!!

Empire Direct please feel free to call me on either number, at home or at work or email if you prefer LOL

Do have you similar experiences with online retailers ?
